A Little About Me – Lisa’s World of Miniatures
Hi everyone, my name is Lisa, and I live in Atherton, Greater Manchester, UK.
My love for miniatures began many years ago when my niece had a doll's house. It was when I first saw all the wonderful little treasures you could buy to fill the rooms that I completely fell in love with the miniature world!
From that moment on, I knew I wanted a dolls’ house of my own.
Life took a different turn when I went from working to becoming unemployed, and I decided to turn my passion into something positive by starting my own dolls’ house store.
That was the beginning of my little adventure, and I’ve now been in the business on and off for over 25 years! I’ve enjoyed every minute of it and still get just as excited discovering all those tiny treasures as I did when I first started.
I absolutely love searching for those special little pieces, and if I can’t find something I’m looking for, I’ll often have a go at making it myself. There’s something magical about creating something tiny and knowing it will find its way into someone’s miniature world.
❤️ Giving Miniatures a Second Chance
One of the things I’m especially proud of is my little recycling project.
My lovely customers send me their old or unwanted dolls’ house items, which I then recycle and make available to other miniature enthusiasts who might not be able to afford the full recommended retail price.
It’s a wonderful way to give these little treasures a second chance, help fellow collectors enjoy their hobby for less, and stop perfectly good items from ending up in landfill.
After all, every little miniature deserves a home, don’t you think?
🎁 Every Order Is Wrapped With Love
I absolutely love packing your orders and adding those little thank-you notes and special touches.
I put lots of love and care into every parcel because I know how exciting it is to receive something new for your dolls’ house.
I imagine you opening your parcel, discovering your little treasures, and finding the perfect place for them in your miniature world.
That feeling is one of the things that makes running my shop so special.
Thank you to everyone who supports my little business. Every order really does mean so much to me.
My Next Big Adventure – Grosvenor Hall!
I’m now 57 years young, a proud mum of seven children and a very proud grandma to five wonderful grandchildren.
And now, I think it’s time for another dolls’ house to keep me busy with my favourite hobby!
I’m currently saving up for the grandest house of them all, Grosvenor Hall, and I honestly cannot wait to get started on it.
I’m already dreaming about decorating all those beautiful rooms, choosing the tiniest accessories, and bringing the whole house to life.
I might even start a YouTube series to share the entire journey, from the very beginning right through to the finished mansion. And I have a little twist in mind… the story could be told through the eyes of a doll as she moves into her magnificent new home!
Wouldn’t that be a lovely way to explore the house and share all the little details with you? I’d love to take you along on that adventure, so watch this space!
